I know of someone who came to the Lord after watching the First season.. I was appalled by the one with Mary back sliding and quit watching.
It does have the potential to lead some to Christ, but you're the first to let me know you had the same reaction Jenna160. So devious! But I did watch the rest of the second season. But I'm done with it also.
