Fifth First Fire

A different Sunday Morning post. A video!

Since I got interested in AR15s back in 2018 I’ve shared the first time firings of the rifles I was building for myself with my friends on Facebook. Due to the realization there very well could be something up with the graphene in the vax they tried to force on everyone and the 5G network going online, I reckoned I should probably get me what’s referred to in the AR community as a “zombie apocalypse” rifle. With what we’ve been shown in movies and video games, a precision rifle looks to be in order. I wanted one with a decent scope on it anyways so I built this one October 2021. A 16” barrel, mid-length gas system, railed, A2 stock rifle with some custom engravings and the upgrades from Mil-Spec I do.

I haven’t fired it until recently.

Since I’m posting on Substack, I thought I’d post and share this fifth first fire with my subscribers. I hadn’t thought about posting videos here, but wth? Let’s give it a try. But I really do want to get going on the biblical research podcasts. And there’s always the Rumble channels that need posting on.

And in case that wasn’t enough shooting for ya… there’s a short sci-fi film to close the video out that should make up for it.

Since that first fire, I’ve installed a 2.5-10x40 green/red reticle scope on a quick release, adjustable up to 1”, riser. The scope also has an adjustment to compensate for drop at 100 yard increments, 1 - 5, with a multi-coated green lens, and a green laser built in (on the other side.) I’m not a big fan of those. They don’t seem to stay where you sight them. I haven’t fired it since that mod. But I did restock some ammo. I found that 5.56… especially the non Light Armor Piercing (LAP) 62 grain, has been hard to find recently. Had to go with the M855 (LAP) for the restock. Which I can’t use on my steel targets.

If you handle firearms, you must take this seriously. I grew up shooting, hunting, fishing and served in the Marines. That kind of experience is not so prevalent as it once was. Do your research. There’s so much great content available on this. Take classes. Get hands-on with it. Incorporate the knowledge into your lifestyle.

I do plan on posting a video on why everyone should own an AR.

One more thing. I was rather shocked to see my belly hanging out so hard when I recorded this first fire. I’ve gotten it pulled in some since this recording. I’m back on my daily light dosages of coconut oil. (It kills candida in the gut.)

OK. One more… … one more thing. How’s the audio sound when I’m speaking? I don’t have much available to customize that on OBS at all. As far as I’ve poked around with it.
