A disciple's successful walk through this world requires skill. Skill in separating the physical from the spiritual. One skill we all are advised to develop is distinguishing the difference between godliness and religion. Why? So we can avoid religion! An understanding of scripture accurately leads to godliness. Religion is man made forms of worship. Religion comes by way of private opinion. As philosophy is doctrines of thinking.
2 Peter 1:19-21 Disciples’ Literal New Testament (DLNT)
And We Have God’s Prophetic Word More Firm
19 And we have the prophetic word as more-firm, to which you are doing well to be paying-attention as to a lamp shining in a dismal place, until which time the day dawns and the morning-star rises in your hearts,
20 knowing this first— that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation
21 For no prophecy was ever carried by the will of a human, but people being carried by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Origins Of The Names Of The Days And Months
Did you know that the names of our months and week days have their roots in paganism? If numbering the days was good enough for God, why did we change them? Why, if we wanted to name them, were they named in honor of pagan deities? Perhaps because "All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him." (Isaiah 53:6)
While the names of our months and weekdays do have their roots in paganism and some argue that using the names is pagan and should not be done, it is not a sin to use these names. ...read more - From TheRefinersFire.org
