There are times I look back at my life, remembering almost forgotten situations and interactions with people past or nearly past the edge of recollection. So many years back there. So many of my tracks early on seem to go off in all kinds of directions. But they seem to start straightening out right around the middle of 1980. On my second deployment onboard “The Last True Cruiser,” the USS Long Beach CGN-9 to the west Pacific. A month or so out from returning to the states I started to read the bible that was issued me at the start of boot camp. I have no idea how many Marines at that time kept theirs, but I kept mine. Just a little, black King James Version that would fit in a pocket. About three fourths through that deployment, I… well… I got in some trouble. Not gonna get into it now but those of you who know me know I was a late 70s, long haired, pot smoking, hippie wanna-be. Part of my punishment was being restricted to the ship for forty-five days, so I missed liberty at a couple of port-of-calls and Pearl on the way home. But it was early in those forty-five days I pulled that bible out of my bunk locker and started reading it. Smiling now… thinking about my apistia (you did listen to my podcast the other day, right?) in my approach to it. I thought, “Just start at the beginning,” right? It is a book. But those genealogies was like a stick in the spokes for me and ended my reading it cover to cover. I started taking a look at what we call the Church Epistles, but I honestly didn’t understand it. At all. So I settled on the Gospels. I saw it centered around Jesus and thought, “that’s what I want” figuring if I learned what he taught maybe I’d wake up in heaven when I died. I got more and more into it as I read. I read them gospels quite a few times, along with Acts and was totally amazed at what Jesus and the Apostles did. How they taught. How they held the line against the critics. How God had their backs.

How God had their backs.
That made a big impression on this young Marine. Keep in mind, although no one would know it, I was born again at an early age. I was seven years old, at a friend’s church summer school day when a young man pulled me aside and asked me if I believe Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead. I remember nodding in the affirmative but wondering if this was a trick question. I don’t know why but I thought everybody knew that. I’m believing that was my confession and got me born again right there. I know this as that summer… just a few weeks later… I got what I now know after being initiated into the truth… revelation. Revelation that saved my life on the streets of suburbia Detroit. A voice that exploded in my head… one word… STOP! I was in front of an ice cream truck about to run out into the street after getting myself an ice cream to cross it back to my house. I stopped on command just as I was about to pass the driver’s side of the truck into the street and a car went zipping by maybe two feet in front of me. I don’t remember being stunned by what happened. But I do remember that situation. An event in my mind not knowing then but knowing now that was the first time I received revelation.
And explains to me why them ouija boards and them other games kid’s played in the 60s that was actually playing with devil spirits either didn’t work with me or couldn’t hold me. Could be I just wasn’t the “let it all hang out” type and give up control. Could be the spiritual gift within. Could be probably both.
So… it was soon after I started reading the bible that I discharged from the Corps… that October, and went back home to central, lower Michigan and lived with my parents. During that autumn and winter I developed a consistent prayer life. Especially at night spending the day’s last minutes of consciousness lying in bed in prayer. Doing my best. With what I had. Just talking in my head to the Creator of the heaven and earth. I loved (and still do!) that still, small voice! Then… late in the winter… late February… as I lie there asking God to flow through me that I might somehow sense Him it happened. I started jabbering like a baby. I “felt” like a baby in daddy’s arms. Not that I knew how that feels. Nobody can remember that far back! I kept jabbering and a joy burned in me like I had never experienced before. Perhaps the most intimate, too few minutes I’ll ever experience… that night… as I fell asleep. Totally peaceful. Totally in comfort. Phenomenal would not be too strong a word to describe it. I tried it the next few nights when I’d go to bed and the “jabbering” was there but the phenomena wasn’t. After a week or so I stopped doing it, telling myself I was sounding like a baby. I saw no reason or profit. Save that first night when it felt so awesome.
Times were tough then. America was in a recession after four years of Jimmy Carter’s presidency. (Just sayin’. We didn’t get paid on time a few times when I was active duty.) The OPEC oil embargos. Family farms were being lost to banks. Some bankers were killed by some farmers when their farms foreclosed. There was a migration of job seekers from the northern states to the south and I was among them in the late winter of 1982. I packed up my 1978 black bodied and tan partial roof Olds Cutlass Supreme with all my tools, clothes, cassettes and junk I could load and moved to Dallas, Texas where… to make a longer story shorter… after about eight months there I found myself in a home fellowship where… in the meeting they took turns “jabbering!” That’s all I remember of that first fellowship I went to. Well, I remember it was a young gal that took me there. After I cornered her at work wanting to know what she knew about God. (She had put “fellowship with God” on her job application as an interest.) I sat there… as they spoke words I didn’t understand… locked frozen in my seat… my insides wanting to explode with “WHAT IS THAT?! I DO THAT!” But I remained composed amongst these strangers. Until the end of the meeting anyways. Needless to say, I was an easy sell for this ministry’s foundational class where I learned… a little more than a year and a half later… that what I was doing two winters past wasn’t jibbersh. That it was perfect prayer and praise to God. That it’s what He desires from His children. That it is a manifestation of the energized reality of the gift of holy spirit residing in a person. That it has a name. That it’s called “speaking in tongues.”
- In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
- Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
- 1 Corinthians 14:21-22
I got involved with the ministry. Going WOW (Word Over The World Ambassador) 1983-84 (The last wave Dr. welcomed home,) sent to Longview, Washington for a year… to grow and make the truth available to others nine months after taking the Foundational Class in Dallas. I became a “Twig” coordinator (before they became called Fellowship Coordinators) about a half a year after my WOW year when I returned to Michigan following an extra winter spent in Washington. I went through the “fog years,” …some tough times with the ministry, pretty much cut off from leadership but having what I remember as a wonderfully sweet home fellowship with some of the believers in my area that normally met in my living room. I tried twice to enter the Family Way Corps training program (1991, 93), but… although I met all the requirements, I wasn’t accepted. That broke my heart at the time but am so thankful I wasn’t accepted now. I didn’t quit. But the leadership saw fit to keep the money. Most of it being my GI Bill for schooling. Say what you will of TWI… and I’m sure… anyone can find dirt out there on the ministry. We were after all… considered a cult back then. (Sound familiar?) But I won’t speak or think negatively of the ministry that taught me how the bible interprets itself. That it speaks for itself. That it’s alive in God’s children as it’s put on. Ministries are made up of people and ain’t no one perfect. We are all buried in deception most don’t see. All we can do is what we can to do to help the blind to see. Patience is so key. Love is patient. Live Love!
It was this ministry… The Way International… that taught me the biblical research principles of which I am so thankful for the training and… that I’ve been bringing up a lot lately in my Substack posts. We were charged by the founder of the ministry, Dr. V.P. Wierwille at the end of his two week, on campus Advanced Class to “get out there and teach the greatness of this Word of God!”… or something to that effect. I’ve endeavored to do that… even after breaking ties with the ministry in 2001. The reason I started blogging ten plus years ago. After the last three and a half years of going down rabbit holes and overindulging on popcorn, I’m redirecting my steps back to that. Teaching the greatness of God’s Word. The last two links in the Links section can give you more information on the founder of the ministry I was with. A friend of mine adds to the DoctorClips Rumble channel she started. About ten minutes of Dr. Weirwille teaching per video. Listen to the man for yourself. Scroll the channel, listen to a few videos and see for yourself how he handled the Word. And subscribe to the channel while you’re there. The Eternally Blessed website also has many recordings available that will aid any student in coming to a more accurate knowledge of the truth of God’s Word.

My bible sharings may not be so much in my Sunday Morning posts or videos as there is a lot going on and like you… or a lot of you… I’ve gotta work. I can’t put as much time into all the craziness out there as I have since I got involved in the Great Awakening. I am strengthened for it. But it is what my podcasts are about. Biblical research. I’ll point out the tips and concepts I’ve learned as we go so that you too might develop your spiritual sight and see deeper not only into God’s Word… but into this reality also in which humanity is… trapped… and enslaved. And has been since the beginning of the second, or Patriarchal, administration.
Looking back from where I’m at now, I can see how God has prepared me for this day. For this war. From my upbringing to the Marine Corps training, the ministry training and decades of service, blogging since it became a thing doing research and reports on the human condition for about a decade prior to the Great Awakening… which was an easy step for me after being a biblical research student for so long, willing to engage the lies. The war is real. I believe I can help those that take the bible seriously. With… perhaps… alternate explanations on passages and why it’s “alternative.” It’s all so simple really. The mainstream church narrative either denies or rejects so many of these biblical research principles. And it keeps the church rather ignorant and most powerless. Powerless due to “apistia”. Unbelief as I went over in the last podcast. Most preachers today are corrupted just as the way most doctors have been corrupted concerning health and healing. I won’t do but maybe one or two podcasts a month, but if you know of anyone among your family and friends that might appreciate a deeper look into scripture, let them know about my site here on Substack. Subscribe and pretty much everything I post will go to their email inbox. And it’s free! Paid subscriptions are wonderful and appreciated but it’s not my driving force. I desire to help free as many minds as possible with a more accurate knowledge of God’s Word. It is the foundation of all truth. And you can help! Thanks! The more trails we blaze towards the light, the better chance others’ll see the tracks we’ve laid and head in our direction!
