I’ve been staying pretty busy the last couple of weeks for not having any work. It is slow being winter for this self employed window cleaner. I have enough commercial work to get through the winter but rarely get any residential work. But staying busy putting out content. I’ve got a couple of months worth of blog reposts scheduled. Been working on the next JAD’s Comms video touching on the sudden death that’s been going on. I plan on working on it today. And I got my podcast going. Finally. Been spending a lot of time plopped in this office chair. Working on all this stuff. (And realizing… I really have to get a new office chair.) While listening to videos keeping up with what’s going on and some of the bizarre that’s out there. I’ve been listening to readings of the Bible also. I like it. Hearing the spoken Word while I’m busy around here. Wanna try? I’ve got a link to the KJV reading I’ve been listening to in the Links section below.
I don’t seem to have much to say this morning. Got a cold bug that’s been lingering a week and a half now. Feeling kind of spent. Other than that Christmas week weird ass winter blast we got, the weather’s been not unbearable this winter. So far. Not much snow at all. A lot of cloudy days. Not raining every day. Many mornings starting off above freezing. With a few days mixed in with unseasonably warm days. The days are getting a bit longer now that we’re heading towards spring. This time of year has always been a challenge for this sunshine addict. But it gives me more time to put out some content. I haven’t taken on any new interests since I got my radio station built. I am planning on getting a solar generator this summer for a reserve power source but other than that I’ve had no desire to buy stuff. It’s winter. It’s slow. I’ve got the time to see what I can do to help in the war by getting more intel out on the web. Especially God’s Word. Especially some scripture.
- Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the *Gentiles (*non Hebrews) the unsearchable riches of Christ;
- And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things *by Jesus Christ: (* not in the text. Added by the KJ boys but not italicized.)
- To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
- Ephesians 3:8-10
(For those new here. I always quote KJV unless otherwise stated.)
V. 10 there. So cool! The spirit beings… good and evil… know God’s very many colored (the Greek word here for “manifold” implies multi colors) wisdom by watching the children of God come together by way of learning the mystery. The gospel of salvation. Receiving the new birth. Which for the most part… after eons of being hidden in God but made known to Paul two thousand years ago… is hidden… again!… today to most people. Rejected by the mainstream denominations for over a hundred years. But discovered by those that allow the gift to guide them in their study of the scriptures. Don’t’cha just love meeting those that are born again?! That discerning of spirits manifestation kicking in? I sure do! I love meeting those here now I’ll be spending eternity with later. We may never see each other again in this life, but we’re bound to bump into each other again! I love that.
But v.9 is awesome. We find and fellowship with God’s household knowing the mystery. That it’s Christ in us having confessed Jesus as Lord… as the Christ, and believing God’s Word that God raised his only genetic son from death. That’s the easy part. The first step. Baptized in the gift of holy spirit. There are some things that seem to take time for our believing of what’s written. Who we now are. Our new abilities. And responsibilities. But once the comforter comes, we are now to be responsible citizens in the kingdom of our birth. This takes time in study of the scriptures. And a voice or two for guidance. For encouragement when needed. God supplies whatever’s needed but it is up to each individual to come to a knowledge of the truth concerning spiritual matters. And if that ain’t enough we find ourselves engaged in warfare. On the spiritual plane and on the physical. Both being psychological. Do we believe what’s played out in front of us? Or do we see through it?… having an accurate knowledge of God’s of which we believe. Like… as our King has told us. in Matthew 7:20.
- Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
It ain’t what people say as much as it is what they do and the end results. Compare the fruit of the spirit with the works of the flesh as recorded in Galatians.
- Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
- Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
- Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
- Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
- Galatians 5:19-23
We… God’s people… are to be on the spiritual side. In case ya didn’t know. Read them works of the flesh again. I mean… yuck!
Guess I had more to say than I realized when I plopped down in this worn out chair. I really do need to replace this chair. Don’t know if I can wait until work picks up!
